Consultation

The journey with our clients begins with a phone call. In this conversation we establish the design brief. Then with the aid of some pictures and simple measurements from you, we can work out an initial layout and costing.

After our designers have discussed with you the all-important requirements for your kitchen a first draft plan is drawn up. We will then produce a quotation for this scheme for you complete with appliances and worktops.

We don’t offer ‘ballpark’ estimates. The quotation at that point is exactly what the design on the drawing board will cost. However, we don’t expect that will be the final design or the final price as we continue for as long as it takes to refine the proposal to suit your needs as discussions develop. Each time we present a new layout or series of changes, there is a new quotation to suit, and this continues until you are happy with everything – a process that can take a couple of weeks or a couple of months!

On average time from the first ‘meeting’ to the placing of your order is six to eight weeks.

Before we begin...

To ensure we offer you a suitable layout from the start and to give your designer a good understanding of your space we ask for the following information prior to your design appointment.

The more information you give our designers, the easier it is to present you with your ideal kitchen design and quote first time round.

Please follow the bullet points when sending in your kitchen plans and send to us at: sales@newcastlefurniture.com.

  • Full address and contact details.
  • Your time scales for the project and a rough idea of budget are always required.
  • A dimensioned room plan - this can be a simple hand drawn one, but we do need to have the windows, doors, ceiling heights etc. shown, along with any other features that may hinder the placement of furniture.
  • Information on any structural work being carried out – are you living at the property and do you require planning permission?
  • The range of furniture you would like, Mid-Century Modular, Handmade English Framed or Freestanding Range.
  • Information about any appliances that you are planning on having in your kitchen.
  • A wish list and photos where possible will really help and links to Pinterest boards are useful too.
